got 6 small council: the broken man

Which foreshadow a bunch of shit that's about to hit the Westerosi fan.

When will I wed the prince?
Maggy: Never. You will wed the king.
Cersei: I will be queen, though?
Maggy: Aye. Queen you shall be... until there comes another, younger and more beautiful, to cast you down and take all that you hold dear.
Cersei: Will the king and I have children?
Maggy: Oh, aye. Six-and-ten for him, and three for you. Gold shall be their crowns and gold their shrouds, she said. And when your tears have drowned you, the valonqar shall wrap his hands about your pale white throat and choke the life from you.

“If he were dead, I would know it. We came into this world together, Uncle. He would not go without me.” – Cersei

“I cannot die while Cersei lives, he told himself. We will die together as we were born together.” – Jaime’s inner monologue

“He was your twin, your shadow, your other half, another voice whispered. Once, perhaps, she thought. No longer. He has become a stranger to me.” – Cersei’s inner monologue

"I thought that I was the Warrior and Cersei was the Maid, but all the time she was the Stranger, hiding her true face from my gaze." – Jaime

(The Stranger is the god of death)

Catie Stewart: Okay first off, Brother Ray is so handsome and jolly and it looks like The Shire and that made me really happy.
This scene also sparked a discussion between Chris and I about what is a stronger force, love or hate? Which one drives people to do more things?

Sar Crawford: I think that true love can be more powerful but is also rarer? Hate makes people crazier and more willing to do horrible things. And since all these kind, religious people are going to die, love clearly gets you nowhere in the Game of Thrones. It’s a weakness, even. It’s Cersei’s for sure. In addition to greed and hubris and all those other things.

Cat Stew: I love that Marge is being prudish, but I'm intrigued to know what her goal was in that. Everything she does is with a purpose and I would think she would want a child

Sar Craw: Yeah so I’m wondering here if she is postponing pregnancy because 1. She doesn’t want the Faith to control her child/ use it against her or 2. She knows Tommen’s going to die soon and if she doesn’t have a child that leaves her in a more marriageable position? Since she’s done the whole sexy widow thing like 3 times already

She hands her grandmother the secret rose drawing and tells her to GTFO before the Faith controls her too.

Cat Stew: YAS MARG u go I love her. Her eyes were so expressive.

Sar Craw: Blesss. I know isn’t Marg so convincing? I love it. Every episode it takes me so long to figure out what her true motives are.

WHAT IS THE SEPT'S SECRET WEAPON U MENTIONED? (SHE STILL NEVER ANSWERED ME… but now that I think about it, it’s probably using Hound as their champion in Cersei's trial by combat, right? See CleganeBowl theory.)

Cat Stew: I ship Tormund and Jon's bromance so hard.

Sar Craw: Petition for a Jon - Tormund - Brienne love triangle. Maybe throw Sansa in there too?

Cat Stew: Holy moly. YAS BEAR ISLAND. In the books Lady Mormont was like 16 but I like her being younger… Dude she's everything. Such a lil bamf. YAS that sassy hand she gave her maester!
Davos truly deserves to be hand of the King. Ugh he is so good.

Sar Craw: Dude yes I love Davos. I mean he was Stannis' Hand already for good reason.
And what is this girl's name again? lol
(How many times can we say “dude” in one conversation? Do we think we're a ninja turtles?)

Cat Stew: Leanne lol

Sar Craw: Oooh right Lyanna

Cat Stew: They all are named that

Sar Craw: Hahah yeah, that was part of the convo that she was unimpressed by. Sansa says, “You’re named for my aunt Lyanna” and Lyanna's like, “IDGAF”

Cat Stew: I am into Sansa's boldness. I'm nervous she's not gonna be able to play the game well enough though.

Sar Craw: Yeeee I think she can do it. She might die but she’ll make an impact.

Cat Stew: Also Jaime... His hair just gets better and better. This episode is so full of bad ass speeches and I love it.

Sar Craw: Yeah I know this already happened in the books and I’m so tempted to ask what happens… Still very interested to see if they bring Lady Stoneheart back. I think the Lannisters may be killed off this season? Jaime by the Blackfish and Cersei by the Faith? Maybe The Hound or Arya will be the valonqar from the prophecy?

Cat Stew: Dude I genuinely didn't expect his sister to be a lesbian

Sar Craw: I know rite lol. Certainly works out nicely for her though since there never seem to be any male prostitutes anywhere.... Also, I felt like that Theon eye contact moment could've been a lil bit better, felt kinda anticlimactic.

Cat Stew: Yeah I thought it was gonna be more expressive or something haha

Sansa writes a letter. It seems very important and ominous and such. "Dark wings, dark words," etc.

Cat Stew: I'm nervous about this letter

Sar Craw: It's to Baelish rite? To ask for those troops? She never should have turned them down in the first place, even if he is Westeros' biggest asshat. He's a good ally.

Cat Stew: Oh idk. That would be good

Sar Craw: Or is it Ramsay... I dunno

Cat Stew: How could it be Ramsay? Why would she?

Sar Craw: I have no idea just thinking of all possibilities lol.
Brienne? Where tf did she go again?
OH Brienne is going to Riverrun for her rite rite

Cat Stew: But why?

Sar Craw: To get help from the Blackfish? I can’t really remember their convo but I’m pretty sure that’s where she sent good ole Bri Bri

(Nice parallel scene of our old favorite travelling companions, am I right?)

Cat Stew: Oh yeah yeah. Do they not know Riverrun’s under siege?

Sar Craw: I know whaaat!!

Cat Stew: So she obvi won't die but also what?

Sar Craw: I knew that Ray and all his peeps were gonna die the minute they were on screen being so happy hahah. I was like, "Wtf is this, I’ve never seen a happy person on Game of Thrones in my life"

Cat Stew: It was so pretty

Sar Craw: And yeah this Arya thing is INSANE I was like "NO NO NO NO THIS IS A DREAM".
But sooooo cool that she was barely even fazed by it.

Cat Stew: Oh thought it was a dream! I'm surprised her assassin didn't make sure she floated up

Sar Craw: She did look but Arya had swum away. So yeah still pretty dumb of the assassin lol

Cat Stew: Swummmm

Cat Stew: Marge is totally Diana.

Sar Craw: Ooooh good point. Tommen is just as stupid as Charles but cuter and more faithful.

Also… have you seen this stuff circulating that “The Waif” (apparently the name of that annoying Faceless Man girl who hates Arya so much / just stabbed her) is like a split personality of Arya’s? Dunno how I feel about this. Interesting theory though

Cat stew: I saw the link but I hadn't clicked on it! It's interesting but I'm not sure if I buy it... Like would they go that far? That makes things super complicated and I feel like they're trying to simplify the storyline since it's almost over so idk.

Wait but then I just read it and it sounds so legit. Wtf bro now I don't know?

Sar Craw: Vanity Fair’s arguing that they’re not the same person, but rather Arya has an elaborate plan to draw out and kill the Waif. In which she knew she would be stabbed. I like the sound of that better

Cat Stew: Lolol at you. I like that better! I really like the dual personality thing but I don't know if it'll fly

Sarah Craw: Lol I hate it because I hate that Waif girl and I don’t want her to be part of Arya. But it would be nice if Arya killed her finally

ALSO I’ll shut up after this, seriously. But I just read this Popsugar article with a theory about Arya going back to Westeros and pretending to be Lady Stoneheart. I don’t really agree with it BUT the interesting part of the article is that apparently Maisie Williams (Arya) and Sophie Turner (Sansa) both gave these killer 2 truths and a lie statements on the red carpet and I somehow missed it. Very important.

Based on these, I think we almost certainly have a Lady Stoneheart appearance. LIIIIT

Cat stew: YAS I want her to come back. And because the Brotherhood is now back in the story, I totally think she'll show.

Sarah Crawford: These last 3 episodes are gonna be amazing. I’m almost glad the next 2 seasons will be shorter than 10 episodes because we’ll get more action in every one and not have to wait for the end of the season

Cat stew: That's so true. I can't believe it's almost over I thought they'd drag that out forever.

Sarah Crawford: I think we still have two seasons! So they definitely are dragging it out.

Cat stew: Haha yeah I guess. And dude so many articles you're hilarious haha

Sarah Crawford: 😃 😃 😃 😃 😃
